Empowering Educators: Bringing AI into the Classroom at ICS Iraq<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The beginning of a new school year is a time for fresh ideas and new opportunities to grow. During induction week at ICS Iraq, I had the opportunity to lead a session for teachers focused on one of the most relevant developments in education today: <\/span>Artificial Intelligence (AI).<\/b><\/p>

As a <\/span>SEEDS Champion<\/b>, my goal was not simply to introduce AI, but to encourage teachers to think about how it can be used <\/span>effectively, responsibly, and purposefully<\/b> in education.<\/span><\/p>

Moving Beyond \u201cUsing AI\u201d<\/b><\/h3>

We discussed how AI can support teachers with lesson planning, differentiation, resource creation, adapting materials, generating ideas, and feedback, while emphasizing that <\/span>AI should enhance good teaching, not replace it<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

Teachers also explored the importance of professional judgment, including checking AIgenerated information, protecting student privacy, and ensuring resources are appropriate for their learners.<\/span><\/p>

Introducing the SEEDS Hub<\/b><\/h3>

A key part of the session was introducing teachers to the <\/span>\u0645\u0646\u0635\u0651\u0629 SEEDS<\/b> through a practical demonstration lesson. Rather than simply explaining the platform, I showed how its resources and tools could be applied directly to classroom teaching.<\/span><\/p>

The response was very positive, with teachers finding the Hub practical and relevant to their everyday needs.<\/span><\/p>

Learning by Doing<\/b><\/h3>

Teachers also had the opportunity to experiment with AI and explore how providing context, learning objectives, student needs, and desired outcomes can improve the quality of AIgenerated responses.<\/span><\/p>

The session encouraged teachers to move beyond simple prompts and think about how AI can be adapted to their own subjects and classrooms.<\/span><\/p>

Building AI Literacy<\/b><\/h3>

The conversations that followed were just as valuable as the activities themselves. Teachers shared questions, experiences, and concerns, highlighting the importance of developing <\/span>AI literacy among educators<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

As AI continues to influence how we learn, work, and communicate, educators have an important role in helping students use technology critically, ethically, and responsibly.<\/span><\/p>

Being a <\/span>SEEDS Champion<\/b> is not simply about introducing new technology. It is about helping educators feel confident to explore, experiment, share ideas, and find meaningful ways to improve teaching and learning.<\/span><\/p>

This session was a strong start to the school year and, hopefully, the beginning of many more conversations and practical applications of AI at ICS Iraq.<\/span><\/p>

AI is a tool. The real impact comes from how thoughtfully we choose to use it.<\/b><\/p>
